A message from our Chapter President

Greetings and welcome to the website of the Memphis (TN) Chapter of the Links, Incorporated. The Memphis Chapter is one of the earliest chapters chartered by the national organization and the first chapter to be chartered in the State of Tennessee. For more than six decades, we have stood firm on our commitment and legacy to impact lives in our communities through service and friendship.

ABOUT

The Links, Incorporated is an international, not-for-profit corporation established in 1946. The membership consists of more than 17,000 professional women of African descent in 299 chapters in 41 states, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of the Bahamas, and the United Kingdom. It is one of the nation's oldest and largest volunteer service organizations of extraordinary women committed to enriching, sustaining and ensuring the culture and economic survival of African Americans and other persons of African ancestry. Members of The Links, Incorporated contribute more than 1 million documented hours of community service annually — strengthening their communities and enhancing the nation. Chartered in 1952, the Memphis (TN) Chapter of The Links, Incorporated represents the longest standing chapter in Shelby County and the surrounding area. For more than 65 years, our group of nearly 60 distinguished women have and are prepared to continue its history of supporting worthwhile projects that enhance the quality of life in the Memphis community.
